Heat advisory remains in effect for interior sections of southern NH

It is *** weather alert day where we have *** heat advisory posted for central and southern areas of the state away from the coastline and the potential for stronger storms later on this afternoon. Heat advisory for this afternoon and into this evening. Basic definition is *** heat advisory where you will have heat indices at times over 95 degrees. This is when you factor in the temperature and humidity together as you can notice. The future heat index this afternoon pushes it anywhere between 95 98 at times again away from the shore line in central and southern New Hampshire. This will be with the front approaching from the west and there will be the potential for some gusty thunderstorms out there later on this afternoon. The main timeline is from 2 to 10 p.m. We’ll be looking for more heat and humidity for the weekend as well with our next storm chance later on sunday here is today’s chance and again, the timing is somewhere between about two and nine or 10 p.m. Tonight. As early as two o’clock in western areas of the state and as late as nine or 10 pm closer to the coastline, gusty winds, heavy downpours in small hail will all be possible with these storms as they come through and even *** low potential area of possible thunderstorms that could even produce some rotation with them. So these are all things will be monitoring through the afternoon today southwesterly breeze continuing to feed in the humidity out ahead of it while the front itself back out through new york does not look like much right now, showers and storms will develop along that and bump into the heat and humidity you’re seeing here by three o’clock this afternoon. Eighties to lower half of the nineties Coolest will be right at the shore line into the afternoon. So here’s *** look at it on future cast and again, rough timeline is as early as two o’clock this afternoon in northwestern sections of the state and wrapping up by nine or 10 o’clock in southeastern areas. These will be scattered. They’ll be quick moving moving from southwest to northeast. They will also have the potential for gusty winds and some brief, heavier downpours as they move across the state. Later on tonight, we drop back into the sixties to lower seventies under fair skies and still hot for the day Tomorrow eighties to near 90 degrees, but the humidity will come down some while the dew points today will be in the upper sixties to near 70. They’ll be in the low and mid sixties for your friday. But that will ramp up again over the weekend with *** west and southwesterly flow Temperatures will be back from the upper 80s to lower 90s on Saturday to the lower and mid nineties on sunday. Another front approaching late sunday and sunday night will look to wrap up this highest heat and humidity we’ve had over the last several days by early next week. So heat advisory for this afternoon for central and southern areas of the state away from the coastline, gusty thunderstorms are *** possibility after two or three o’clock this afternoon, it’ll wrap up by mid evening, with temperatures fading into the sixties overnight, still hot for the day tomorrow, but the humidity will come down some more to just an average level for this time of year. And you notice in your seven day forecast, we have that heat and humidity continuing into the weekend and then fading early next week.
